Google Start to devalue links that are located in the tooter of web pages. (update December 2008)
google allways looking for a way to devalue link that look like spam links.
links in the footer sould point to in site page navigator and to out links.
lot’s of web site that sell links are offer you to buy a link from the footer of the web page.

google also start to devalue links from forum signature.
